What Is A Will?

A will is a legal document that instructs how someone’s property should be distributed after their death.

You can create a legally valid will as long as: you are at least 18 years old and “of sound mind.” To be “of sound mind” you must know what a will is, what it does and that you are making one. You must understand the relationship between yourself and those you would normally provide for in your will, such as your wife and children. You must also be able to understand the kind and quantity of property you own and how to distribute it.
